Snorkeling at the Southern Islands, Gili Rengit-Gili Layar- Gili Nanggu- Gili Kedis, full day trip

Starting from your hotel at 8.00 am we drive almost 2.1/4 hours to the harbor in South-west Lombok. On the way we can see local daily activities, such as locals making bricks and working in the rice fields. We stop in Batu Kijuk Village, South-west Lombok where in the harbor a local private boat is waiting for us to bring us to Secret Island Gili Layar.

Local daily activities

The boat trip takes around 45 minutes, on the way we pass Gili Gede, the biggest island of South-West coast. Our first stop is close to Gili Rengit where your first snorkeling adventure, snorkeling from the boat, starts. You will see beautiful untouched coral and many colorful fish. Then we continue to Gili Layar. On Gili Layar we see almost unspoiled nature, powder white sand and almost no accommodation. Here we start our relaxing time, swimming, snorkeling and so on. You will be amazed seeing the beautiful colorful coral and many different kind of fish. Then we have time to enjoy our lunch at the beach.

** At request, to additional cost of IDR 100.000 per person, we can organize a fresh grilled fish lunch for you. The lunch is existing of: steamed rice, grilled fresh fish, fried tofu, stir fried local vegetables (such as waterspinach).**

After lunch we will move to the private island Gili Nanggu where you can spend the time for relaxing and snorkeling. At Gili Nanggu it’s easy to go snorkeling from the shore. Close to the beach you find all kinds of colorful fish without going deep.

Gili Kedis

After Snorkeling at Gili Nanggu we move to Gili Kedis. Gili Kedis is a very small uninhabited island where you will have some time for snorkeling and relaxing before the boat brings us back to the harbor. In the harbor our vehicle is waiting for you to start our way back to Senggigi. Our last stop is at the pottery village Banyumulek in west Lombok. Here you can see old fashion handmade clay production.  The friendly locals are enthusiastic to explain the production process and you can try to make some yourself. It’s also possible to purchase some local pottery and safe packing is guaranteed. From Banyumulek we continue to your hotel.
