The Gili Layar Snorkeling Trip
From your hotel, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 2 hours to the peaceful harbor of Tembowong in South West Lombok. Along the way, you will pass traditional villages where locals are making bricks by hand and working in lush rice fields- offering a glimpse into daily island life.
Then at the harbor, your private boat is ready to take you on a short waiting for us to bring us to Secret Island Gili Layar. The boat trip last around 20-minute cruise across turquoise waters. During the journey, you’ll pass the island Gili Gede- the largest island of southwest- and spot some local pearl farms floating in the sea.
Snorkeling at the Secret islands
Your first snorkeling stop is Gili Goleng, a true hidden gem. Here you’ll snorkel directly from the boat and explore vibrant coral reefs filled with colorful tropical fish.
Then, we continue to Gili Rengit, one of the best snorkeling spots in this area. This location is known for it rich marine life, including a wide variety of fish species. And if you are lucky, you may even encounter sea turtles and even some seahorses swimming peacefully through the reef.
After your snorkeling adventures, the tour continues to the highlight of the day; Gili Layar. This island is famous for its untouched beaches, soft white sand, and tranquil atmosphere far from mass tourism.
Here you’ll have time to relax, swim, snorkel or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Following this the small local restaurant you can have your lunch on the beach. This allows you to fully experience the natural beauty of this hidden paradise.
After that, in the afternoon around 3.00 pm, you’ll head to Gili Gede, for your final snorkeling session. This area offers another opportunity to explore diverse marine life, before returning to the harbor around 4.00 pm.
After the boat trip, you will be driven back comfortably to your hotel in Senggigi area.
